Stick Container
The Stick Container is a PP (polypropylene) tube with a threaded dial at the base that connects to an internal stem and push platform. Turning the dial raises or lowers the platform, advancing solid product up through the open top for application. The PP construction handles fill temperatures up to 275 degrees F, so it can accept hot-poured formulas without warping. Components include the outer body, inner platform, threaded base dial, and a press-fit or snap-on cap.
Stick containers are the standard format for deodorants and antiperspirants, but they're increasingly used for lotion bars, sunscreen sticks, solid perfume, bronzer bars, lip balm, topical medications, and even solid detergent.
