Stand-Up Pouch (SUP/Doypack)
Stand-up pouches (also called Doypacks) are constructed from multi-layer laminated film with a bottom gusset that expands to form a stable base when filled. Common seal styles include the Doyen seal (U-shaped bottom seal), K-seal (corner-sealed with flat bottom), and skirt seal. The laminate structure typically combines PET, nylon, aluminum foil, and polyethylene layers to create the desired barrier properties.
These are the most widely used flexible pouch format, making up roughly 35% of the flexible packaging market.
