Pillow Pouch
Pillow pouches are formed from a single roll of film on a vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machine. The film is wrapped into a tube, sealed along the back (fin seal or lap seal), filled with product, and then sealed and cut at the top and bottom. The result is a pillow-shaped package with three seal areas. The construction is fast, simple, and produces very little waste.
This is one of the oldest and most economical flexible packaging formats, used for chips, crackers, candy, single-serve coffee, snack bars, and countless other products.
