Rigid Box
Jewelry Box with Insert
Jewelry boxes with inserts are rigid boxes constructed from 1.5mm to 3mm chipboard, wrapped in paper, fabric, or leatherette, with an internal insert tailored to the specific jewelry type. Insert materials include die-cut foam (for impact protection), velvet-covered trays (for presentation), silk-wrapped platforms, and molded pulp. Inserts are designed with tight tolerances, typically cut 1 to 2mm smaller than the interior dimensions so they drop in smoothly without warping the box walls.
Different jewelry types require different insert designs: ring slots are typically 20 to 25mm deep, earring pads have small apertures for posts, necklace trays include hook points or channels, and bracelet holders use C-clips or pillow wraps.
