Rigid Box
Full Telescope (Lid & Base)
The full telescope is a two-piece rigid box made from chipboard (typically 1.5mm to 3mm thick) wrapped in printed or specialty paper. The lid is slightly larger than the base and slides all the way down to cover the full height of the base walls, creating a double-wall overlap that adds structural strength. Thumb cuts or notches are often added to make opening easier. The closure relies on air friction between the lid and base walls, producing a smooth, controlled open and close.
This is one of the most common rigid box formats, widely used for chocolates, apparel, stationery, and consumer electronics.
