Degassing Valve Pouch
Degassing valve pouches have a small, one-way valve (typically a round, adhesive-backed disc) applied to the pouch surface. The valve allows CO2 and other gases to vent out of the pouch while preventing oxygen from entering. The valve mechanism uses a thin membrane or diaphragm that opens under internal pressure and closes when pressure equalizes.
These are essential for freshly roasted coffee, which releases significant CO2 for days after roasting.
