Multi-Compartment Pouch
Multi-compartment pouches contain two or more sealed internal chambers within a single pouch. The compartments are created by adding internal heat seals that divide the pouch body into separate zones. Each chamber can hold a different product, and they can be opened independently or simultaneously depending on the design. Some versions use a peelable or frangible seal between compartments that the consumer breaks to mix the contents.
These pouches are used when ingredients need to stay separate until the moment of use: two-part epoxies, salad kits (dressing separate from greens), instant meal kits, cocktail mixers, and pharmaceutical combinations.
