Cone Top Can
The cone top can features a cylindrical steel body that tapers to a narrow neck, finished with a standard bottle cap opening. Introduced in 1935 as a hybrid between a bottle and a flat-top can, the three-piece construction includes a solderless one-piece top. The cone nozzle provides controlled, dripless dispensing and can accept screw caps or crown caps.
Originally created so smaller breweries could fill cans on existing bottling lines, cone tops are now used for industrial and specialty products: lubricants, cleaners, concentrated dyes, automotive additives, and solvents.
